Eight years later celebrating our anniversary. Hard to believe it has been that long. Yeah...we made it past the 7 year itch....Does that mean we are safe??
I am thanking the Lord for all he has taught us and continues to teach us about sacrificial love. Love is an action, and a feeling second. Thank you Tim Keller for teaching me this concept both in my marriage and in my ability to love my children. I am a true believer in "suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us." (Romans 5:3-5) Marriage is not easy, but nothing worth having is. Marriage is to make us holy, not happy. And true joy comes from being made holy and new in him. I am excited and scared to see God redeem us more and more every year. Happy 8 years Dee!
