I have seen it all...

Three mornings a week, we take Henry to his spanish school and then pick him up four hours later to rush home for our two "babies" naps. During this four hours, I usually go to the gym, run a couple of errands, sometimes go to story time at the library, and more recently we have been coming home for a little while just to play on the floor. So to say the least, the babies and I spend a lot of time together. "Tuc-Tuc"(Charles Tucker) and "Tay-Tay"(Mary Taylor) love each other...and despise each other at the same time. They always want what the other one has, especially Tuc-Tuc. He wants to make sure he is not missing out on anything. But, because of the competition he forsees going on, Tay-Tay has felt her place in the family being threaten, so the competition is full blown.

A couple of weeks ago at a birthday party, Tuc-Tuc and Tay-Tay were sitting at a little plastic table across from one another. I start playing make believe by pretending to give them food, to help them learn to use their imagination. Well, I gave Tuc-Tuc some imaginary food and then I gave Tay-Tay some imaginary food. Poured their imaginary drinks....and then Tay-Tay decided to take some of Tuc-Tuc's imaginary food. To say the least, he went BALISTIC, like she had taken his favorite train away from him. But, NO, it was just imaginary food....YOU COULD NOT EVEN SEE IT!
At his point, Dee and I are dying laughing at the fact that they are literally fitting over food that is NOT even there! So to play along with this hysterical moment, I made Tay-Tay give the piece of imaginary food back to Tuc-Tuc. And guess what??? He was completely fine after she return the invisible food back to him. HILARIOUS!!!! WE. HAVE. SEEN. IT. ALL!

They also get in heated arguments in the car on those mornings about who is more hungry than the other, or who is more tired than the other. The conflict often goes like this...."I hungry" TuckTuck. "No, I hungry" TaTa. "I hungry" TuckTuck. "I hungry." Back and forth, back and forth, until they both end in tears...It is pretty funny. It can definitely drive me crazy, but I end up laughing almost every time!

Then tonight, on our way back from Trader Joes, (the place where all the employees know our name..for good and for bad)....the babies got in another heated arguement that might almost top the imaginary food episode.
Tay-Tay, did not want me to buckle her seat belt. Usually, I just do it with her kicking and screaming, but tonight for some reason, I said, "Mary Taylor you have to buckle up or you will not be safe. We could wreck and you could get hurt and die." She said, "No buckle," and just smiled. Then I said, "Do you want to die?" She just smiled. Then I proceeded to buckle her up and she started yelling, "Die, die, die". So, of course, Tuc-Tuc jumped in because he did not want to miss out on anything, so he started saying, "No me die...me die!" Then Tay-Tay yelled, "No, me die....Over and over again they were both yelling, Die, Die, Die..... Once again, Dee and I were laughing histerical from the front seat.

Other moments, you will find these two rascals giving each other hugs and kisses and singing songs together. They really do love one another deeply.

One more funny moment between them.....

This is a picture of Tay-Tay, who has just fallen into the bathtub with her PJ's on. How? You wonder?? Well, she was playing with the water and dumping it on Tuc-Tuc's head while he was in the bathtub. She bent a little too far over into the tub to get a scoop of water, when all of asudden...she falls completely in. Yes, I had to grab my camera, but she had already gotten out of the tub, she wasn't too happy with me when I took this picture...

Happy Monday folks!
