The weekend before Halloween we attended Cousin Dexter's Halloween Party. Dexter was a pilot, Henry was Batman, and Mary Taylor was Super girl..Henry had already taken his costume off, but he graciously put his cape on for the picture...my have we come a long way for mama and her love of picture taking! Henry used to hide and scream when I wanted to take his picture.

My sister in law, Jennifer, had everything decorated so festively and the food was done the same. Check out this Halloween Chex-mix...

Henry and Dexter...best buds..
These two wanted to dress up everyday this last week, yes Batman remained the same, but our super girl decided to be a "Monk Monk" (monkey) on her way to the gym and don't forget the red sparkly shoes..
And look at that tail! This is just too much!
Henry was this monkey for his second Halloween three years ago....
***We are preparing metally to not venture to Uganda until after the New Year, but we are still hopeful that we will go this month, Lord willing. This has been more than an emotionaly rollercoaster, but the Lord is faithful and he has met us time and time again in our disappointment. We have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. Today has been a good day after a breakdown at our church nursery meeting last night...guess I needed to get it out. Trusting the Lord, is a constant refocusing from believing lies to believing truth.
More Halloween pictures to come!

The kids look really cute. Praying for good news to come soon.

Bless your heart. This wait is so painful. My prayer is that God does so much good through our waiting -- that people's eyes are opened to His love, and to adoption, and to how He can sustain us through hard times -- and I pray that we are changed and santified more and more for each day that we have to move forward still waiting for our sweet children. I truly hope that there will be a day when we can all get together (perhaps in Birmingham?) and let all of our precious children reuinte -- and finally meet all of you moms who have meant so much to me over this long, long journey.
