The day before our ruling and our newest house guests....

After a full weekend, Monday morning seemed like a great day to relax. So we just hung around the guest house taking it easy, especially because tomorrow was the big day!! The day we would get our ruling!

Around 10:00 am, my friend Dan Owens, who took us to “M” a couple days before, arrived with his two newly adopted children, Joseph (3 ½) and Hannah (4 ½) with his friend Scott Hardy to help him with the kids while he is in Uganda. What a great friend!

His kids were so cute! The minute they walked in the guest house, they immediately saw the toys, CT rarely plays with. It was like a feast of toys! They amazed me…every bit of food Dan put on their plates, they ate. They did not complain and they asked no questions…they were just grateful!

After greeting them, CT and I ventured up to the babies home to say hello after several days of not being there. The babies were all so excited to see Charles Tucker. It did not take him long to warm up this time. He is starting to understand I am not going to leave him.

Back at the guest house, we had fun playing with Joseph and Hannah. I brought out play dough...they just sat and stared at it for five minutes. I got Auntie Julie, to tell them...this is not to eat, but for play. They still were not sure what to do, but CT started mashing it with his hands and making snakes, so they finally started to understand. An hour later, they were still playing with the playdough. Hannah and Joseph had no interest in anything else, until we mentioned it was dinner...They loved it!! Dan was glad, because Shelly, his wife, packed some for the plane ride back to the US.

Joseph....

Hannah....

You know what is so cool??? These precious children will grow up right down the street from us. Charles Tucker will have two sweet Ugandan friends, among many more who are already in Atlanta or who are soon to be adopted and coming to Atlanta. God is creating a little Uganda in the middle of our city! So neat!!!

Charles Tucker will have many friends to relate to from his original country...

Three children who are orphans no more!! Praise God!!
